Myall River Camp and Myall Lakes National Park

On our travels between Forster and Shoal Bay we discovered a beautiful riverside camp spot on the outskirts of the Myall Lakes National Park.  We arrived mid morning at the camp and had plenty of sites to choose from on the river bank.  Once setup, and firewood collected, we then spent the afternoon riding our bikes touring the national park.    We only had one night here, but we definitely want to come back and launch the boat.  There is a boat ramp in the camp and lots of waterways to discover.

Pied Butcher Bird:  Just before sunset these birds were all around our camp, catching worms and grubs.  They weren’t the least bit concerned by us.

Kookaburra:  There were three of these kookaburras lined up along the top of the fence posts.
