The Long Adventure starts ‘for real’ (practice over)

The planning is over, and the adventure has begun.  We are officially living in our caravan.  For how long?  We don’t know and we don’t care, as long as we’re having fun.

Our first stop is Brunswick Heads on the northern New South Wales coast.  We plan to stay here for two weeks and test out all our gear.  It’s not far from home base, so if we need to fix, adjust or collect stuff we can return to sort it out.  Actually, we already have to return to pick up a right foot dive boot.   We went diving this morning and I discovered that I had packed two left foot dive boots.

We were pleasantly surprised to discover how easy it was to set up the boat and trailer.  Our previous system used to take us at least half a day to set up, it was a dirty two person job, which I hated.  Not now, it took Phil about an hour, tops.  My contribution was to take the photos.

It’s even remote control.

Those boat loaders aren’t cheap and look like overkill but they will save you thousands in Chiropractor fees. $$$ well spent right there !
“Its even remote control” …. is that a technical term for “Phil” ! ….just charge him up and watch him goooooo

So why did you have to head back to Brissy? I personally haven’t seen you dance but from what I’ve heard … you shouldn’t need the right foot dive boot. But then you probably don’t do much dancing underwater.
