The trip home

We decided to take the inland route home and on hind sight it was not a good idea. The road was long, rough and boring.  Day 1, we travelled from Lucinda to Clermont approx 600km.  This route is heavily used by road trains, consequently it is rough and under constant repair.  Unfortunately, at our overnight stop at Clermont we were still contending with road trains.  We managed to stop for the night about 40m away from where the tucks where changing their trailers over,  it was about 3:00am when the they stopped.  Day 2, was much better.  Fewer road trains and greener country side.  Still the roads where rough.  The damage from the floods earlier this year in the Burnett area has taken a huge toll on the roads.  However we did manage to stop in a beautiful camp for the night, just take a look at the photos.
